More than 40 years ago a passion for the beauty of handwoven rugs began to grow into one of the largest and finest rug galleries in the United States. Robert Anderson, previously a banker at Anthony Wayne Bank here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, started collecting rugs for no other reason than they were fabulous. Over time that collection grew and Bob sought out how to share his love with others. After decades running the beautiful gallery, Dane Leitch became the new owner excited to continue the tradition of beautiful rugs and excellent service. Our gallery located at 1217 Broadway was originally a grocery store built in 1864. We have been thrilled to call it home for the last 30 years. New rug weaving styles, techniques, and color palettes are always being produced and our gallery has every type and size on hand. Abstract contemporary rugs in bold colors, transitional rugs taking the best of classic designs and shifting them into a modern aesthetic, and of course traditional designs reminiscent of the decor of the grandest homes of the 1920s are all ready to be admired. We even carry a large number of antique pieces which literally graced those home 100 years ago!
